BEES (Building for Environmental and Economic Sustainability)

E-GRID Spreadsheets Version 2002
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Acid Rain Program. The Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database (E-GRID) contains data on environmental characteristics of electric power generation. An integration of 12 different federal data bases, E-GRID provides air pollutant emission and resource mix information for thousands of individual power plants and generating companies. E-GRID provides emissions per unit of electricity, permitting direct comparisons of pollution levels from different power sources, and also shows, for individual plants, companies, states, and regions, the amount and percentage of power from different resources, such as coal, natural gas, nuclear, hydro, solar, and wind. E-GRID Spreadsheets Version is accessible by viewing spreadsheets. Requires MS Excel or comparable spreadsheet software.

eGRID
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Acid Rain Program. The Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database (eGRID) is a comprehensive inventory of environmental attributes of electric power systems. The preeminent source of air emissions data for the electric power sector, eGRID is based on available plant-specific data for all U.S. electricity generating plants that provide power to the electric grid and report data to the U.S. government. eGRID contains air emissions data for nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and mercury.

Envirofacts Warehouse
By US Environmental Protection Agency. Allows you to retrieve environmental information from EPA databases on Superfund sites, drinking water, toxic and air releases, hazardous waste and Biennial Reporting System data, water discharge permits, and grants information. Use online queries to retrieve data or generate maps of environmental information by choosing from several mapping applications available through EPA's Maps On Demand.

Prevention Videos: Construction Hazards
