Following is a list of freeware that provides tools to help you comply with the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and similar international programs. Before you access any software or apps, please read our disclaimer and permissions page if you haven't already done so.

FIFRA Section 18 Database
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Pesticide Programs. A database providing information about current and recent actions under Section 18 of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. Section 18 of FIFRA authorizes the U.S. EPA to allow states to use a pesticide for an unregistered use for a limited time if it is determined that emergency conditions exist.

PAN Pesticides Database
By Pesticide Action Network North America. An online database of toxicity and regulatory information related to pesticides. Offers an impressive array of search options. Visitors can generate country-specific lists of regulated pesticides; search the database by product name, chemical, or chemical constituent (by CAS number); create lists of pesticides by chemical property (e.g., solubility), aquatic toxicity, carcinogenicity, the type of crop the pesticide is registered to treat, the least toxic alternatives for a particular use, and much more.

Pesticide Poisoning Diagnostic Tool
By Pesticide Action Network North America. An online resource to help physicians identify and report pesticide-related illnesses. Visitors select from an extensive list of symptoms and the Tool generates a list of pesticides which are consistent with those symptoms, as well as information on any other symptoms that may be associated with poisoning by that pesticide. Once a case of pesticide poisoning has been confirmed by the physician, the Tool provides information on how to report the incident to the appropriate authorities. Reporting information is currently available for the US only, organized by state.

Pesticide Product Information System (PPIS)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Pesticide Programs. Contains information concerning all pesticide products registered in the United States. It includes registrant name and address, chemical ingredients, toxicity category, product names, distributor brand names, site/pest uses, pesticidal type, formulation code, and registration status.

Pesticides Product Database Query
By Purdue Research Foundation. Information on registered pesticide products by state. The data include: product number and name, company number and name, active ingredient, site of application, and pest to be controlled.

Pesticides Restricted Use Products (RUP) Report (ASCII Text format)
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Pesticide Programs. The Restricted Use Products Report is a compilation of both active and cancelled pesticide products classified as "Restricted Use". The "Restricted Use" classification restricts a product, or its uses, to use by a certificated pesticide applicator or under the direct supervision of a certified applicator.

USEPA/OPP Chemical Ingredients Database Query
By Purdue Research Foundation. Pesticide chemical ingredient information. Search by name, CAS number, or PC Code.

USEPA/OPP Company Information Database Query
By Purdue Research Foundation. Contains information on pesticide companies.

Worker Protection Standard for Agricultural Pesticides How to Comply Manual
By US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 1. Provides detailed information on who is covered by the Worker Protection Standard and how to meet regulatory requirements. Contains requirements for pesticide safety training, notification of pesticide applications, use of personal protective equipment, restricted entry intervals following pesticide application, decontamination supplies, and emergency medical assistance.
