The Web site offers daily AQI forecasts as well as real-time AQI conditions for over 300 cities across the US, and provides links to more detailed State and local air quality Web sites.

Dust Storm App

To help protect drivers from dust-related dangers on the road, the University of Arizona has created a mobile application for iPhones that provides dust storm alerts and safety tips. The app uses a person's geographical location anywhere in the United States to determine if there is danger of a dust storm, or any other type of storm, in the area. The warnings come directly from the WeatherBug service.

By US National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This app lets users anonymously report precipitation from their Apple or Android mobile device. With the mPING app, anyone can send a weather observation on the go. The user simply opens the app, selects the type of precipitation that is falling at his or her location, and presses submit. The user’s location and the time of the observation are automatically included in the report. All submissions will become part of a research project called PING – Precipitation Identification Near the Ground.

Nationwide Air Quality Forecast

By US National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NowCOAST is a Web mapping portal providing coastal communities with real-time observations and NOAA forecasts. It allows users to view real-time surface observations "on-the-map" along with the latest GOES satellite cloud imagery, and NOAA National Weather Service weather radar images. The GOES imagery is updated every half hour and the weather radar mosaic is updated every 15 minutes.
